Pilot threatens to crash into Mississippi Walmart store with small plane has crashed into Lake.

According to a statement from the Tupelo Police Department on Saturday, the pilot of a small plane is threatening to deliberately crash the aircraft into a Walmart in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Around 5 a.m. local time, the pilot of an aircraft, possibly a King Air, was spotted flying over Tupelo, according to the police. The pilot threatened to purposefully crash and made contact with E911.

Flightradar24, a flight tracking service, reports that the plane may have crashed in or close to Curtis Lake, which is located 5 miles north of Gravestown, Mississippi. When it vanished, more than 300,000 people were keeping an eye on it on flightradar24. The jet crash has not yet been officially confirmed by police.

Walmart and a nearby Dodge’s were evacuated, and police assisted in getting as many people scattered as they could.

The pilot has been flying in loops far to the northwest of Tupelo, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24, while maintaining very low altitudes between 500 and 1500 mean sea level.
